Hours offline, zero data lost.
Every entry persists locally before it leaves the tablet. Lose signal, lose battery, lose the device — the data on the rig is durable.
Field is the capture surface where TerraBrains starts. It runs on a tablet at the rig, persists every record locally, and reconciles cleanly when you come back online. No re-keying. No lost rows. No spreadsheet purgatory.
This is a real render, not a screenshot — the same graphical log component that produces your project logs and signed-report PDFs. A textbook foundation profile: made ground over firm clay, sand, very dense gravel and weathered sandstone, with the SPT N profile climbing with depth and the groundwater strike at 3.2 m.
Every entry is written to a local SQLite database before anything else touches it, then queued in a durable outbox and replayed in order the moment you reconnect — nothing is lost when the signal drops. When two engineers edit the same borehole from different tablets, both versions are kept: the sync engine detects the conflict, applies last-write-wins on scalar fields, and surfaces the losing edit in a conflict resolver with the full audit trail so you decide what stands.
The vision model on Bedrock proposes a USCS classification from a field photo. The engineer reviews, edits, and signs. The suggestion never overrides the engineer. It just removes the typing.
Field captures into the AGS schema natively — no transformation step at export time. That means you can ship AGS the moment a borehole is signed, and the validator will pass first time.
GPS-stamped photos, Munsell colour matching, SPT blow counts, CPT readings, and depth-indexed soil layers all live on the same entry. No tabbing between three apps and a paper log.
Got an instrumented rig? Ingest its continuous depth-indexed log — penetration rate, rotation, torque, feed and flush pressure — and TerraBrains builds the profile and auto-flags hard / slow-drilling bands between your sampled depths. Missing cells are flagged, never guessed. Custom firm bore-log templates capture your house fields the same way on web and mobile.
Every entry persists locally before it leaves the tablet. Lose signal, lose battery, lose the device — the data on the rig is durable.
The vision model proposes USCS from the photo. You correct, you sign. The audit chain records both the suggestion and your decision.
QR-based sample tagging on capture, custody transfer with token verification, and a chain visible end-to-end through to the lab certificate.
